Jason Renslow Driving across country, right around my college undergrad time, Futz Said Julie was on a mix tape a friend made. It was played so many times that tape about wore out. We'd fast forward trying to find it while cruising in my black 1990 trooper... great vehicle. It's a song of innocence and kid years, and trying to impress an impressive woman. Great tune. Favorite track: Futz Said Julie.

about

We have very limited quantities of Pain's CDs on hand from the most recent Springman Records re-issues with full linear notes and packaging from our web store.

Pain was one of my favorite bands of the 90′s, a punk-rock orchestra with horns, keys, guitars and drums. Smart, goofy and fun, without being overly cheesy, a must for anyone who has ever enjoyed The Aquabats or (yea, I’ll say it!) Operation Ivy. Like Neutral Milk Hotel, their cult-following continues to grow despite their having broken up over ten years ago because they’re just THAT GOOD, I dare you to stay depressed or in a bad mood while one of their records plays. You just can’t.

This band should have been huge. Despite this oversight on society’s part, YOU can still enjoy their spectacular compositions with their entire discography available now digitally via iTunes, Amazon mp3, Spotify and the rest.
